Position: Class 1 Driver

Additional Role Details:

As a Class 1 Driver at Driver Hire Grimsby and Scunthorpe, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work with wide range of cargo: Transport a wide range of goods, including palletised cargo, refrigerated loads and containers.
• Operate Modern Vehicles: Drive well-maintained, modern vehicles.
• Work with a Supportive Team: Work closely with our committed team and to ensure a satisfactory working experience.
• Ensure Safety: Play a vital role in maintaining road safety and the reputation of our company through responsible driving.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1(Cat C+E) HGV driving license.

• 1 years of proven experience as a Class 1 LGV driver.
• No more than 6 points for minor traffic offences (No DR or IN endorsements)
• The right to live and work in the UK

Type: Temporary

Rate: From £14.35 per hour

Benefits: Holiday pay accrued according to hours worked.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring timely delivery of goods to specified locations.
2. Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure safety and report any maintenance requirements.
3. Communicate effectively with customers and their team members.
4. Complete all required paperwork, such as logs and delivery confirmations.
5. Load and unload goods when necessary, ensuring the they are delivered correctly.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) HGV driving license.
• 1 years of proven experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
