A Promising Role: Material Technician in Sheffield

We are currently seeking a dedicated Material Technician to join our team at our plant in Sheffield. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products by conducting rigorous materials testing and analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conducting material tests in accordance with established procedures and standards to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Documenting test results accurately and compiling reports for quality control and assurance purposes.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
• Collaborating with the production team to identify and resolve any material-related issues.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Practicable knowledge of all aspects of Quarrying, Asphalt, sand and gravel production methods.
• Able to communicate and present information Comfortable in dealing with Management.
• Previous experience within the Industry or a similar quality control environment is desirable.
• PC Skills including IT systems, Analytical skills and Interpersonal skills.
• Verbal skills to effectively communicate.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload and other tasks.
• Flexible “hands on approach” to problem solving.
• Necessitates a full driving licence with the requirement to be mobile to cover the geographic area of responsibility.
