Teaching Assistant
Location: Sleaford, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Immediate Start Required
Pay Range: £85 - £95 per day
GSL Education is working with Secondary Schools all around Lincolnshire and is currently looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to work with primary and secondary aged children. The position is in Sleaford, and the selected candidate will start working immediately after selection.
As the ideal candidate you should:
- Be aware of the Primary/Secondary National Curriculum or both.
- Be charismatic, pro-active and can use your own initiative.
- Have an enhanced child only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to make one.
- Have experience supporting children or young people with a range of additional needs.
- Experience with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Behaviour, Team Teach, or Moving and Handling is preferred, but not required.
Within the job role you will - Support within additional activities to promote motor and speech skills, including but not limited to, Outdoor Fitness, Sensory Rooms, Hydrotherapy, Swimming lessons, Arts and Crafts and Cookery.
- Assist with any personal care needs that may be required.
- Work on a 1:1 basis with children aged up to 16 years old, with a range of complex and additional needs.
- Support the delivery of the lessons by the class teacher and work with small groups of pupils to deliver educational-based activities.
