Credit Controller Role Overview:
My client, a global leader in their market requires a business-to-business Credit Controller to join their Cash to Order, Credit Control Team. You will be responsible for a high volume and value multi-currency ledger and will take responsibility for the management of key and blue-chip accounts. This role will have a strong focus on proactively collecting outstanding payments and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
You will be supported with career development paths and have the option of a study support package to aid this. As a larger and continually growing business, my client can offer excellent business exposure and the opportunity to explore multiple career progression pathways.
Credit Controller Role Responsibilities:
- Credit checking new customer accounts.
- Monitoring existing clients credit allowances – creating and actioning credit increase cases as required
- Assisting the final stages of the setting up of new customer accounts
- Analysing and assessing customer accounts approaching their credit limit
- Accurately maintaining customers’ accounts with current debt and credit status’s
- Proactively chasing aged and current debt via email and telephone
- Investigating any queries delaying customer payments – liaising with billings and sales teams as required
- Sending of copy invoices to clients as required
- Posting of customer receipts for global banks and customers
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Report on credit balances and credit risk status’s
Required Credit Control Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 18 Months + Previous Credit Control experience gained in a Business-to-Business capacity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
- Intermediate to advanced IT and Excel skills (prior use of SAP is highly advantageous)
- Ability to work well in a fast paced and target/ deadline orientated environment both autonomously and as part of a team.
- A self-motivated/ self-starter mentality with critical attention to detail
- A target focused approach to tasks
- The desire to develop in a Credit Control career path.
- AAT or CICM qualifications are highly advantageous (study support available)
