Job description
Due to an increase in work, our client, a well known civil engineering construction company is seeking to employ a Quantity Surveyor to be based from their West Yorkshire office.
Our client undertakes civil engineering projects ranging in size and value from £100 up to several Million and is ideally seeking individuals with experience of working on similar sized civil engineering schemes.
Within this position you will be responsible for :
Develop client relationships
Monitor contract costs against agreed budgets
Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements, ensuring all contract correspondence is recorded
Supply relevant commercial information and reports to the Senior QS and Commercial Manager for review, such as CVR’s, periodic valuations/ applications and cash flow forecasting.
Identify potential financial risks and evaluate options to mitigate these
Oversee the procedures for certification of contract payments/variations and settle final accounts to sub-contractors, in line with agreed terms and conditions
You will have previous experience of working within the construction/rail sectors, be HND/Degree educated, have a strong knowledge of the NEC form of contract and be IT literate and a Team player.
