Job description
ASA are currently recruiting for a Cook to join one of our clients – a well known company within the Healthcare industry – on a part time, permanent basis. You will join this residential care home which offers high quality residential care for older people in Banchory. In this role you will be responsible for preparing appetising meals for residents, you will have a passion for cooking and will want to deliver great menus that understand the challenges of catering for older, vulnerable people. With a working pattern between 8am and 5pm, this is role that will enable you to really make a difference.
Requirements
You must be a capable, experienced Cook with a cooking qualification. In addition, you should be a caring person who knows the vital role mealtimes play in the lives of others. Ideally, you’ve already got some experience catering for older people in a care home or similar setting, but more important is your enthusiasm and commitment to food. If you’re well organised and a good team player this role would suit you. A PVG for Adults is required for this position.

In return for joining our client as a Cook, they can offer a competitive rate of £13.06 to £13.20 per hour. They also have an attractive company benefits. This includes 30 days annual leave (rising to 35), Pension scheme, health cash plan, paid qualifications and retail discounts.
