Education Lawyer - Associate / Senior Associate / Legal Director

Education Lawyer - all levels - Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle or Leeds

Associate to Legal Director - all levels - national recruitment campaign - The Education team of this leading top tier law firm is looking for solicitors at all levels with to advise a range of educational institutions, both public and independent. The team have built up a real presence in the education sector and is now on a major expansion drive across its national network.

Summary

An overview of the Education team

Clients consist of multi-academy trusts, single academy trusts, grammar schools, community and special maintained schools as well as independent schools and universities. You will work with the Partner and Legal Director who head the team. Lawyers in the department advise on everything from admissions advice to discrimination and equality act cases to regulatory issues and general governance matters.

The above list is by no means exhaustive. This is a varied, intricate and complex area of law covering all aspects of legal compliance and governance as it applies to the education sector.

Broad range of candidates considered including retrain possibilities

The Education team is looking to attract talented lawyers at all levels all the way from NQ to Legal Director level. Any prior experience of advising educational institutions would be a major advantage. The hiring managers are also ready to consider solicitors from other areas of compliance and regulatory as a transferable skill set as well as other areas of law such as social care.
