As an NEC Digital Programme Manager, you will be at the centre of the NEC Digital action and crucial in helping to deliver the digital products and solutions that exceed our customer’s needs. You will be responsible for multiple project teams and operational teams, supporting them both to assure seamless delivery, and enhancing the digital experience of our high profile customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
New developments
1. Take a leading role in upholding agile practices within the design and development teams.
2. Oversee the delivery of projects to ensure on-time and high-quality outcomes by supporting Project Managers/Scrum Managers and ensuring the overall programme of work is co-ordinated.
3. Governance. Regular attendance at the customer meetings agreed with stakeholders are invited to.
4. Stakeholder management. Actively communicating programme status, changes, risks etc. to stakeholder groups, as required.
5. Help to foster a productive and collaborative working environment – a ‘one team’ approach with our customers.
6. Support the Product Owner, and Business Analysts, in helping to define the Product Roadmap and to create a working backlog.
7. Manage resources across projects and programmes through co-ordination with the PMO.
8. Risk management – identifying, quantifying and agreeing mitigations for risks to delivery.
9. Reporting progress and providing insights to management.
10. Quality Control. Keeping on top of delivery and operations to ensure that activities are delivered to the quality required.
Ongoing delivery
As above, and in addition:
1. Operational reporting - Service Management Reports – Co-ordinating with the Service Desk to deliver monthly and quarterly reports.
2. Managing monthly Service Management reviews – capturing actions and following up on them.
3. Updating and maintaining the Service Code of Practice (SCOP)
Experience Required:
1. Proven track record of delivering digital products and services and managing multiple concurrent customer projects.
2. Working with the UK government or similar heavily regulated environments would be beneficial.
3. Substantial experience in applying an agile methodology to project and programme delivery.
4. Strong skills in problem-solving, managing change, and continuous improvement.
5. Reporting, guiding, listening to senior customer stakeholders and managing both theirs and NEC’s (occasionally conflicting) demands.

Relevant certificates in project management and agile methodologies will be an added advantage.
