JOB DESCRIPTION
Relief Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 19 year old young man who has Autism living in the Whitchurch area of Cardiff. I have limited communication but verbalise at a basic level. I love to go Bowling, Cinema, Swimming, Museum and browsing Charity Shops, Beaches and Walking, I am of a very calm and pleasant nature, however I do walk very fast but all you have to do is ask me to slow down or stop and I will do this if told. I can be comical and you can benefit from this.

Purpose of job

To cover my main carer when they are on Annual Leave and ensure I am safe at all times, as I have no sense of danger especially crossing the road and in busy places.

12 hours a week over 2 days Monday and Wednesday 6 hrs per day

Rate of pay -

£12.60 per hour

Mileage from my home to my choice of activity and back will be paid at the rate of 41p per mile.

About the job

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
