What you will do in your working day

What will the apprentice be doing? 

As an Apprentice Engineer, your work will involve:  

• On-the-job training with our team of specialist Engineers
• Exposure to ongoing planned maintenance
• Fault finding
• Improvement initiatives and development of complex production equipment and systems
• Supporting day-to-day production manufacturing and packaging activities that supply a complex range of products to over 70 countries

The training you will be getting

As part of this apprenticeship role, you will be studying towards a Level 3 Engineering Technician (Mechatronics Technician Pathway) apprenticeship standard.

Your studies will take place as block release at the college, to gain the knowledge and skills to work towards the Level 2 and 3 qualifications defined in the standard. On-the-job development will take place at our manufacturing operation onsite at Hatfield.

The successful completion of the Engineering apprenticeship is a great start to a career in the pharmaceutical industry and you will also have many opportunities to work with and learn from other departments.
