Job description
Due to staff retirement, we are seeking a flexible and experienced Production Manager to join our team and oversee our manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Production Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a small team of operatives, supported by a foreman, to ensure smooth production operations.
Supervise the maintenance team, overseeing preventative maintenance schedules and procurement of necessary parts for optimal factory functioning.
Ensure timely production of orders to meet customer requirements and achieve monthly volume output targets.
Collaborate with the Technical Manager to maintain high production quality standards.
Work with the Managing Director to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards on an annual basis.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and factory performance.
Provide daily reports on factory performance and address any issues promptly to improve efficiency.
Key Skills Required
Demonstrated experience in employee management with a track record of fostering team improvement and motivation.
Proactive approach to improving factory performance and implementing operational efficiency.
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Previous experience in maintenance management is advantageous.
Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred.
