The Marketing Data, Analytics and Technology team at Springer Nature are looking for a new, hands-on Product Manager to join the team in the mission to provide a suite of automated delivery and analytics solutions to the wider Springer Nature Research Marketing organisation.
As the new Product Manager in the team, your focus will be to drive growth in the number of authors submitting articles to our specific, subject-based research collections. Working at the confluence of our marketing organisation and product & technical teams, you will be responsible for transforming ideal marketing user journeys into tangible automation pipelines using our suite of marketing delivery tools, with the support of our technology and analytics specialists.
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong process-oriented mindset, used to working between teams to structure business requests into clear, deliverable pieces of work. We welcome applicants from any marketing or operational background looking to shift into a more technical, product-led role.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other stakeholders to transform business objectives into a product vision and backlog of automation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging new technologies to improve marketing efficiency, effectiveness, and ROI.
Technology Implementation and Integration:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of marketing technology projects, including marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and other relevant software.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of marketing technologies with existing systems and processes.
- Manage timelines and milestones for solution implementations, launches, and QA.
- Configure and customise marketing tools across a broad spectrum of strategic domains, including customer segmentation, email marketing, database management, tag optimization to meet the specific needs of the organisation, working closely with vendors and internal teams.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to marketing teams on the use of marketing technologies, ensuring they have the necessary skills to leverage these tools effectively.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on marketing technology best practices, sharing insights and guidance with stakeholders across the organisation.
Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing technology management, marketing operations or any other operational role.
- Subject matter expertise in at least two martech or operational SaaS platforms, including (but not limited to) marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Braze, Pardot), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and other relevant marketing technologies.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organisation.
