Milton Keynes College Arts & Media Team are keen to hear from people with a strong digital skillset who would be interested in working as a workshop technician to provide support to our students and staff across our School of Arts and Media. In addition, a skillset in Fashion and Textiles, or willingness to learn and develop this skillset would be advantageous. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking individual who enjoys contributing to and working as part of a team.
You will play a key role in the correct and appropriate use of equipment and resources used as well as support staff and guide students with their practical and theory work. With expert knowledge in areas such as the Adobe Creative Suite, digital printing and laser cutting, you will lead on technical support for digital technologies in our school. In addition to this, adaptability is required as the successful person would also be working across the school to provide technical support in other specialist areas as required.
This is a a brilliant opportunity to provide training and resources to engage students studying our creative subjects, embedding digital skills and outcomes across the curriculum area. Working with our dedicated team to maintain and build on our industry links to bring opportunities for students to work on real life experiences and prepare them for future employment.
