Job description

Due to a thriving workload, we are looking for an ambitious Graduate Civil Engineer to join a dynamic Civils and Rail team becoming part of one of the UK's leading private Engineering Consultancies working with both public and private clients.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer with 1 to 3 years of post-graduate experience, you'll be an integral part of our close-knit team. Under the mentorship of experienced engineers, you'll be involved in producing feasibility studies, engineering reports, and contributing to the design of bridges and other heavy civil structures.

Your Role:
Feasibility Studies: Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies and technical notes under the guidance of senior staff.

Structural Analysis: Analyze bridge structures using LUSAS software, with guidance and training provided.

Technical Documentation: Utilize AutoCAD for drawing preparation and Microsoft programs for diagrams and figures in reports.

Project Management: Oversee specialist sub-consultants, prepare briefs, and actively participate in site inspections and surveys.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with a small, enthusiastic team and attend site visits and meetings alongside senior staff.

Qualifications/Experience:
Educational Background: MEng/MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering with 1-3 years post-qualification experience.

Skills: Strong numeracy, communication, and presentation skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, and Publisher.

Software Knowledge: Experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with LUSAS software is an advantage.

Practical Skills: Possession of a driving license.
