Job description
NRL are supporting the growth of our client in their search for a Buyer to join their team.
You will support the profitable growth by ensuring budgets are adhered to and all procurement is efficiently completed. To develop an understanding of the products, services and source quality products at favourable prices.
Primary responsibility is for procuring all goods and services for the group of companies.
Secondary responsibility is for the estimating of all other supplies and services offered
Point of contact for existing suppliers and new suppliers with respect to them tendering works
Representing company and protecting the organizations reputation
Area of Key Responsibility
To ensure the efficient procurement of goods and services for associated companies to maintain or increase profits and maintain the quality of product we deliver.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic buying
Procurement of Goods and Services for the Group of Companies
To be the driver of negotiating the best deals and track savings from budgets
To develop a knowledge of the Goods and Services each Company uses
Supplier relation/Credit account support
To raise purchase orders for all Goods and Services
Reconciliation of invoices
Resolving Invoice queries
Material cost matrix (Live updates of current market prices)
Logistics assistance
Assisting Commercial (Estimating & Accounts when required)
Commercial awareness on buying requirements/ not having standing stock
Stock taking/ Stock check
Allocate Stock, to projects
To train/mentor staff when required
Assist in the delivery of informative handovers once the company receive a PO/LOI or subcontract
To ensure all Material enquiries/ Purchase orders are priced accurately to enable to competitively quote
To ensure all orders are placed in a timely and accurate manner
To achieve and maintain accurate records of all Material prices, increases and decreases to ensure Estimating can quote affectively
All delivery date are achieved on time with minimal to no impact on other trade/ company
