Job description
TEACHER OF PHYSICS
Join a leading school which prides itself on the high quality of education, enrichment and care provided to all and is committed to the wellbeing of students and staff.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of Physics who is committed to the highest standards of learning, teaching and achievement. This is an exciting opportunity to teach physics and progress your career in a school judged by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’. The role is required from September 2024.
The successful candidate will also have very high expectations and an unwavering commitment to all students maximising their potential through outstanding learning, teaching and support.
We are a fantastic learning community, set in one of Yorkshire’s most scenic areas, whose facilities have recently been enhanced by the completion of a multi-million-pound refurbishment and expansion project. Our graded Ofsted inspection of March 2017 confirmed us as an ‘Outstanding’ school in all areas, where students “attain highly and make excellent progress”, where behaviour is “exemplary” and where “teachers go the extra mile to make sure students achieve, feel cared for and thrive within a supportive and productive learning environment”. Since Ofsted’s highly positive endorsement, the school has continued to go from strength to strength with overall student progress significantly above average at +.6 in 2022 and +.4 in 2023.
If you have the subject expertise, vision, commitment, and people skills to contribute to this successful department, coupled with the ability to engage and enthuse our students with a love of physics, then we would like to hear from you. We welcome applications from both experienced classroom practitioners and Early Career Teachers.
