The Company
This business operates in a very innovative food space where being on trend / anticipating new trends across all aspects of the food world, and being able to translate these into products that millions will love, is something they are amazing at. With accolades galore, they need an equally talented NPD Manager to help support them on a 12-month contract.
Please note this is a 12-month FTC to cover maternity leave.
The Role
This is a customer focused role where you will be responsible for the project management of all customer development activity. With the support of a small team, you will be managing the NPD process in line with critical paths, technical and commercial parameters, and leading feasibility meetings to ensure the smooth launch of products.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with both stakeholders and customers, providing accurate and consistent communication whilst identifying and resolving issues to deliver a top tier NPD agenda.
Proactive and resourceful in your approach, you will use your product knowledge and customer insights as well as knowledge of market trends to ensure that the NPD for your category meets customer expectations and makes an impact in the marketplace.
The Person
We are looking for an NPD Manager who has a proven record of driving innovation within a chilled food category, supported by a strong understanding of food or consumer science and manufacturing processes. Experience of managing a team and retail customers within a food manufacturing environment is essential for this role.
You will have previous success in bringing exceptional products to market where you have worked in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects to fruition.
Your knowledge and passion for food will mean you will naturally inspire confidence in your colleagues and customers. Building relationships at every level will be a breeze and you’ll shine as the dedicated contact for your client who trust you to keep the category invigorated, always ahead of the competition. People management skills are also essential as your will be leading and encouraging a small team to reach their maximum potential, whilst mentoring and supporting their development.
