Job Title: CNC Turner / Miller
Job type: Days based, Perm
Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Flexible 37.5hr week / 07:00 – 15:30 Mon-Fri
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

CNC Turner / Miller required for a family-owned valve manufacturer based in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will have previous CNC Turning and milling experience.

The CNC Machinist will produce machined parts by programming, setting-up, and operating CNC lathes, CNC vertical milling machines, predominantly turning.

Determine the fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications and mount them safely on the machine prior to beginning cutting metal.
⦁ Discuss project instruction and specifications with engineers and supervisors to guarantee consistency between plans and products.
⦁ Collaborate with colleagues to modify designs when existing ones are not feasible.
⦁ Modify machine speed, tooling and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts in a range of different ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
⦁ Experience of machining Various metals
⦁ Ability to write Fanuc, Siemens and Hurco programs.
⦁ Oversee cutting process, adjust throughout each job, catch mistakes as they happen and take necessary measures to eliminate errors.
⦁ Supervise machine operating parameters (e.g. temperature and tool wear).
⦁ Review and interpret cutting plans, enter them into control outlets before jobs and alter them to correct mistakes when necessary.
⦁ Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation.
⦁ Management of consumables such as lubricants, tips and drills.

Who can do this?
⦁ Time Served Apprenticeship, with an appropriate craft or technical qualification. (preferable)
⦁ If not, minimum of 3+ years within machining.
⦁ Provide a great level of attention to details and focus on the given task.
⦁ Be dependable, follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions and keep commitments.
