Job description
Prodrive Composites designs and manufactures high quality composite components for a wide range of industry sectors including automotive, aerospace and motorsport. We have a proven capability in the whole manufacturing process from initial design to tooling and from prototype to series production. Our customers range from the manufacturers of the world’s best supercars to world class innovators in their specialist fields.
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to carry out Quality Assurance & Quality Control activities in support of Prodrive business requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- To maintain quality system documentation to meet internal Quality Management System requirements.
- To carry out internal audits against 3rd Party accreditations, identifying and facilitating the closure of any non-conformances in a timely manner to ensure compliance and maintain current certification.
- To carry out Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities as required including preparation and compilation of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation (ISIRs, FAIRs, Process Control Plans, etc) as required by customers.
- To investigate root cause & report on non-conformance issues, liaising with engineering, manufacturing and customers to resolve identified in a timely manner.
- Work closely with our supply base to define improvement plans.
- Liaising with customer SQA engineers and conducting initial containment activities.
- Supporting with maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment.
- To support development of processes, procedures, work instructions and forms in line with system and process improvement activities.
- To supporting them with project delivery and control in line with existing procedures.
- To liaise with Engineering, Manufacturing Inspection & Project Management with the delivery of off tool, off process 100% accurate parts and final part approval.
You:
- Experience in IATF16949/ISO9001 is essential.
- Automotive or Composites background is desirable.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Conversant with FMEAs & Control Plans.
- Knowledgeable with Statistical Process Control.
- Familiar with Pareto analysis.
