About our Client
Kaizen Talent Solutions are working in partnership with a specialist automotive business to help recruit a Head of Operations to run one of its manufacturing facilities in the West Midlands. Part of a growing Automotive Group, my first tier Client is a market leader in the design, innovation and production of its specialist products, supplying in to a range of OEMs. The business has strong growth plans, and hence is looking to strengthen its senior management team.
Job Description
Reporting to the Group CEO, the Head of Operations will oversee all operational responsibility for one of the Groups sites. This is an excellent opportunity and will require the incumbent, with the support of the board, to develop and deploy a practical manufacturing plan that will contribute to the company’s success through on-time-in-full, right-first-time, efficient production.
As Head of Operations, you will be tasked with the development of your team through effective communication, coaching and training. In line with the principles of the Board, you will provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate best practice and improved working relationships.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have-
A strong manufacturing background ideally within automotive
Ideally an engineering degree
Extensive experience of working with operational responsibility within a specialist, high quality manufacturing environment
Experience of driving lean methodology in a high volume manufacturing environment
Experience in implementing best practices in operations, quality systems, and health & safety.
Cultivated positive working relationships with employees, peers and superiors.
A tenacious/self-starter attitude with a will to succeed by doing the right thing for the customers, employees and the Group.
