Job description
Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Payroll Manager to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based in central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£40,000 - £50,000 plus excellent benefits including performance bonus and hybrid remote working
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Management of 12 separate payrolls , with the onboarding of 2 additional payrolls in 2024 (total of approx. 550 employees, growing to upwards of 600 in 2024) across the UK and EU
- Lead the end to end process for our in house payrolls, with a hands-on approach, ensuring accurate and timely completion at end of month across all areas
- Be the main point of contact for our payroll partners across the EU, supporting the People, Payroll & Culture Administrators in timely data submissions
- To oversee and act as senior decision maker for the payroll function, providing leadership in addressing complex payroll issues, resolving concerns in a timely manner and providing excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholder
- Manage the processing of UK Pension, in conjunction with supporting the People, Payroll & Culture Administrators in benefits provisions within the UK and EU (ie. BUPA, Cash Plan, Cycle To Work, Childcare Vouchers etc.)
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders within the People and Culture team, as well as Finance and Operations to ensure that all payroll-related processes are aligned and effective
- Reporting - ensure all payroll related reports and reporting activities are completed to the necessary standards, including the investigation of variances or discrepancies, with a high level of accuracy
- Management of annual P60 and P11d process, as well as monthly P45s
- Processing Pay Review, National Living Wage increase and any ad hoc increments accurately and efficiently
- Working alongside Finance Business Partner to process quarterly and annual Bonuses
Person specification:
- 2-3 years minimum in Payroll Management role
- 5 years minimum of practical, end to end, payroll processing experience
- Strong end-to-end payroll processing knowledge
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of HMRC and legal requirements affecting UK payroll
- Proficient in current UK payroll rules and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with numerical data
- Experience in payroll implementation and automation projects
- Confidence in addressing complex payroll related queries
