What we need from you as a Sales Development Representative:
12 months proven experience in appointment setting, telesales, or outbound calling
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
The ability to effectively qualify leads
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers and build rapport
Strong listening skills and the ability to quickly identify customer needs and interests
Persuasive and confident demeanor with the ability to overcome objections
Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
Knowledge of solar energy principles, products, and services is preferred but not required (training will be provided)
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Generate qualified leads and gather relevant information by scheduling appointments for the Commercial Sales Team
Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers to introduce solar products and services
Engage potential customers in conversation to identify their interest in solar energy solutions
Clearly communicate the benefits of switching to solar energy and the company's offerings
Schedule appointments for face-to-face consultations or virtual meetings with qualified leads
Utilize CRM software to accurately document lead information and appointment details
Follow up with leads to confirm appointment times and provide any necessary additional information
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads
Meet or exceed weekly and monthly appointment setting targets
Training:
Comprehensive training programme - you will be required to stay informed about industry trends, solar technologies, and incentives to address customer questions and objections effectively
Salary/hours: £22k - £25k per annum (pro rata) plus commission. (more details on commission at interview). Hours: Monday to Friday - Flexible part time hours. (can be done during school hours). Minimum 16 hours per week over 4 days.
