Role
- In close collaboration with our Art Director, designers, and wider team, your
primary role will be to help drive and define the visual style of the UI, alongside
the precise and impactful creation of UI assets. Your expertise will play a pivotal
role in shaping a seamless and user-friendly interface as you precisely craft
visually stunning elements, design screens, and breathe life into them through
captivating animations. - In the ever-evolving environment at Supersolid, characterized by continuous development and frequent updates, your proficiency in UI asset creation will be instrumental. As a crucial contributor, your mission is not only to enhance the game's aesthetic appeal but also to set the standard for exceptional user engagement, making our game the epitome of gaming enjoyment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Art Director and UX design to establish art style guides
and UI direction - Lead and contribute to the creation of visually captivating and functional
UI designs, including menus, HUD elements, in-game displays, and
interactive components
- Ensure that the UI aligns with the game's artistic direction
- Create interactive UI elements that respond to player actions and enhance
the overall gameplay experience. This includes designing and
implementing UI animations, button interactions, and feedback systems - Work with developers to ensure correct functionality and visual fidelity, as
well as implement UI into game engines - Be active in seeking feedback from the overall team
- Work with producer in defining tasks and schedules
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in F2P mobile game development
- Passionate about UI design
- Exceptional graphic design and 2D art skills in in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Excellent understanding and use of typography, Iconography, composition,
colour theory and motion graphics - Proven experience creating UI from concept to final in game implementation.
- Strong understanding of UX design
- Passionate about (mobile) games
- Proactive team member
- Strong cross-discipline communication skills
- Animation skills (UI)
- Bonus skills: Experience with 3D modelling
