Job description

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is looking for qualified General Practitioners, to work on a bank contract, as part of ongoing work to enhance its Urgent Treatment Centre.

Clinicians are expected to see between three to four patients per hour depending on complexity

Has access to diagnostics such as radiology and pathology, as well as to inpatient specialists for review and admission where required
• Current shift patterns available are 1000-1800 and 1600-0000
• Rates of pay for qualified GPs on the bank are:
• £70ph (Mon-Fri before 7pm)
• £95ph (after 7pm and weekends)
There will also be a range of salaried positions available in the near future.

Bolton’s Urgent Treatment Centre service:
• Currently operates from 0800-0000 (16 hours per day, 7 days per week)
• Sees a range of minor illnesses and receive patients direct from 111 and streamed from the emergency department
• Is co-located with the Minor Injuries service, staffed by Emergency Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Associates
• Is also co-located with the Emergency Department and overseen by the ED consultant in charge (who is available for support)

Manage a range of minor ailments with an urgent treatment centre footprint.

Ensure high quality, safe patient centred care is delivered

Ensure quality documentation for each patient

Develop good working relationships with ED colleagues

Utilise pathways available from UTC effectively and efficiently.
