Job description
Kenton Black are currently working with a reputable and established construction company to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. Ideally our client is looking at a start date of Monday 8th January.
Main areas of work our client focusses on are shopfitting works, fit out and refurbishment of commercial buildings, and residential refurbishments. Projects generally range in value from £25K - £2M.
There is clear pathway for career progression with the aim for the successful candidate to build their own commercial team over the next couple of years due to continued company growth.
As quantity surveryor you will reporting directly in to the Managing Director and will be responsible for;
• Measurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders
• Take responsibility of projects from inception to completion
• Identify areas to improve margin
• Cost management
• Forecasting Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts
• Producing and submitting applications for payment
This is a full time role based in our client’s head office in Dundee. Working hours are 8am-5pm Mon – Fri.
Salary will be £40K-£50K + benefits DOE, with yearly bonuses payable based on performance.
To be considered for this role the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally with experience of working in fit out/refurbishments. You will require a relevant qualification (HNC, HND or degree).
