iRecruit are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager for one of the UK’s leading lift suppliers to be based in the Wolverhampton area. The successful candidate will have experience with managing and coordinating all aspects of Service for a company within the lift industry or related and possess strong communication and customer service skills. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain responsibility in a challenging but rewarding role which comes with a car and bonus opportunity.
The Role
Reporting to the Service Director, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Service within a specified region, ensuring maintenance operations are carried out effectively. With 8-15 direct reports you will possess strong management skills and be able to delegate responsibility with authority whilst motivating a team. Your role will encompass management reporting which includes handling disciplinary hearings in conjunction with HR and being directly involved with the recruitment of new staff. You will additionally help to manage customer accounts effectively by addressing any issues and be proactive in responding to customer requirements.
The Company
Operating nationwide, the client are a designer, manufacturer and installer of various types of lifts, escalators, moving ramps and walkways for various types of purposes. They pride themselves on establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients coupled with treating their staff the right way. Based in London but with an additional office in Yorkshire, the company have a number of existing client accounts and due to continued expansion, require a new Service Manager to coordinate service requirements in the West Midlands area.
Requirements
·Experience within the lift industry preferable but not essential
·Related industry in construction may be considered
·Service background essential
·Strong Management skills
·Able to work on own initiative
·Strong communication skills
·Full Driving Licence
