If you are currently fulfilling a Theatre Practitioner role specialising in Recovery and/or Anaesthetic and are looking are looking for work in Dumfries, then read on!
Your Role
You will work as part of a team to provide high standards of skilled care and support and be expected to function clinically within the Operating Department and other associated areas as required.
Anaesthetics candidates will primarily support the anaesthetist but also prepare any specialist equipment, devices and drugs. You’ll also assess the patient immediately prior to the surgery.
Recovery specialists will:
- provide appropriate care and treatment until the patient has recovered from the effects of the anaesthesia and/or surgery
assess the care given during each of the perioperative phases

- A minimum of 18 months' post-graduate experience
- Valid NMC/HCPC PIN alongside a recognised qualification
- Access to own transport is preferable
