What you will do in your working day

Sildun Manufacturing (2001) Limited are a service orientated company looking to recruit an Engineering Apprentice for the manufacture of specialized bolting to customer’s own specifications.  This is a multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship. The role is varied and an insight to all aspects of our in-house manufacturing facility will be given in the following areas.

·       CNC Lathes

·       CNC Machining Centres

·       Capstan Lathes

·       Emi-mec Automatic lathes- NC Controls

·       Thread Rolling

·       Hexagon Turning

·       Inspection / Quality

The training you will be getting

You will work towards achieving the Engineering operative level 2 apprenticeship standard.

Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge) level 2.

Diploma in engineering operations (skills) level 2.

Candidates that have not yet achieved Maths and English GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent will also sit the relevent level of functional skills alongside their course. You will be required to attend classrooms one week day per week at our Digital Engineering Skills Centre, Portland Street, Walsall, WS2 8AB
