Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Effectiveness team as a Band 6 Clinical Development Practitioner. Do you want to help improve patient care and the service through helping cultivate a competent and experienced work force?
We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Clinical Development Practitioner to support our amazing nursing team. As the directorate’s Clinical Development Practitioner, you require excellent clinical skills and knowledge, and proven teaching and assessing skills.
You should demonstrate a desire to maintain a culture of continuous improvement and staff development. You will be an experienced mentor and will have experience teaching a wide range of clinical staff and students in a variety of situations and have strong Nursing/Allied Health care skills and experience.
You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and as an excellent clinical role model we anticipate that you will be highly visible.
Help to strengthen the clinical supervision framework, as well as provide strong clinical/educational support and leadership across the allocated areas.
Demonstrate an ability to teach pre and post registration nursing staff, the Lead on the development of evidence-based nursing experience of delivering change initiatives or audits resulting in practice development and improved clinical outcomes for patients.
Work alongside staff to support them in their learning in practice, developing innovative ways of teaching staff skills and assessment via a competency approach.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436).
COVID-19 Vaccination
