A Vacancy at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the clinical team in Geriatric/General Internal Medicine

We require Trust Grade CT Level ( Non Training) doctors.

Although this post is not a recognised training post you can still complete CREST/foundation competences Form to attain achievements of core training , you will be encouraged to attend departmental teaching for professional development.

All specialties work a full shift rota and you will be well supported by senior colleagues during your tenure with us.

We have excellent library and Post Graduate Education Facilities.

Funding and paid time is available for study leave.

There will be a named supervising Consultant and career counselling is available.

You must have full registration with the General Medical Council, hold a Licence to Practice and be eligible to work in the UK.

As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.

The duties of the post include examining and writing up out-patient and in-patient emergency cases with responsibility for special investigation and obtaining blood and other samples and transfusions. There is also, however, a morning phlebotomy service in operation. The duties also include assisting and performing minor and some other operations under supervision, with emergency duties. There is also active encouragement for producing clinical papers.

The postholder’s primary responsibility is the day to day care of the patients in their allocated ward. The postholder will receive instruction in procedures and help with management from senior colleagues. He/she will be expected to know their patients in detail and to present them on ward rounds.
