With a mechanical background, you will be assisting the Workshop Manager and section Team Leaders within the company workshop and warehouse departments, ensuring Pressure Vessel Inspections are completed for the daily preventative maintenance plan.
The Role:
- Assist external inspectors with the testing and inspection of steam boilers and preparing equipment to be sent to Field Service Engineers.
- Dismantle/reassemble modules, clean thoroughly, identify damaged or worn parts, source a replacement part (recording stock usage) and fit accordingly.
- Test all completed modules in line with company guidelines.
- Replenish store stock levels in section cabinets.
- Collect parts for pre-delivery inspection teams.
- Book and receipt workshop parts.
- Accurately complete appropriate administration forms relevant to your position.
- Ensure the workshop and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Periodic maintenance of Vixen washing machines.
- Weekly checks and servicing of lifting equipment.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety policy at all times.
The Person:
- Patience to carry out repetitive tasks with a mechanical aptitude
- FLT and reach truck licenses (desirable)
- The ability to work quickly to meet production targets
- Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own
- Ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures
- A willingness to work flexibly
Salary: £24,000 + 25 days holiday + Pension + EAP + Life Assurance + other company benefits.
