Registered Veterinary Nurse
Alma Veterinary Hospital
Salary up to £31,000 depending on experience
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic Hospital. The day-to-day duties of our RVNs at Alma Veterinary Hospital include working a variety of different shifts, such as wards, theatre, reception/nurse clinics and laboratory. We are a training practice so would welcome an RVN that has an interest in student training and support, this would be a bonus, although this is not essential.
Flexible Shifts Available
The role would include working a 38-hour week with varying shifts spread over 4-6 days. We are open to flexible working and would consider part-time applicants. Our RVNs shift patterns vary, currently there are a mixture of start and finish times from 8 am-7 pm. The role also involves taking part in our out-of-hours rota providing overnight inpatient care.
More About Alma Veterinary Hospital
We are based in the Royal town of Windsor, which has excellent transport links to London and Heathrow. Windsor has a vibrant town centre which is a 10-minute walk from the practice, as well as being surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for outdoor activities. We are a well-equipped Hospital, regularly carrying out laparoscopic, orthopaedic, and soft tissue surgeries. We have an x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, an in-house laboratory, piped gas, 1 x operating theatre, 1 x dental suite and a large well- equipped prep area. We have separate cat and dog wards waiting areas and an additional isolation unit.
We currently have 8 vets covering a 6.5 vet rota, inclusive of 3 certificate holders. Our current nurse team includes 7 RVNs and 3 SVNs.
