Joining the AA as Fleet Re-Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the resale of our used vehicle. This involves coordinating the entire resale process and ensuring efficient and profitable transactions.

As well as being accountable for multiple channels, both online and offline, to attract potential buyers, personally handle negotiations with potential buyers and ensure the best value is achieved for The AA.

What will I be doing?

Working collaboratively within the Team to understand the volume of vehicles being de-fleeted by month

Own & oversee the inspection, refurbishment, and maintenance of the de-fleeted vehicles to bring them to optimal condition for resale. Coordinate any necessary repairs or improvements.

Develop and implement pricing strategies for each vehicle based on market analysis and the vehicle's condition, age, and demand. Set competitive and profitable pricing.

Promote listings through various channels, both online and offline, to attract potential buyers.

Handle negotiations with potential buyers, ensuring favourable terms for the organisation.

Responsible disposal of all Driving School Vehicles, whilst the new assets are finance leased via a 3rd party, the overall responsibility equates to c£10-15m p/a with disposal of the assets with an over profit of c20-30%.

Maintain accurate records of vehicle acquisitions, repairs, pricing, and sales transactions. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for legal and financial compliance.

Monitor market trends, demand, and competitor pricing to make informed decisions regarding pricing and vehicle selection.

Work towards maximising profits by minimising costs, optimising pricing, and reducing holding times for vehicles in inventory.

Handle the end to end after sale process, issuing sales declarations to our funders and a variety of admin process

Owning and refining administrative processes associated with end of life assets (such as mileage charges, damage etc.)

Manage the relationship with all suppliers for Driving School that are associated with the end of life of a vehicle.

What do I need?

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

Proven track record in used vehicle sales and owning sales channels to maximise benefit

Experience of sales channels and delivering against sales targets.

Experience of pricing and selling cars in volume

Experience of working with SAP Ariba, CAP HPI, or similar

Demonstrable experience working in a vehicle retail or fleet management environment

Experience working directly with customers, giving great customer service
