CDOP Lead
Location: West Midlands
Pay rate: £40 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a CDOP (child death overview panel) Lead. In this role you will take a Lead on CDOP from a managers perspective and to support with this function within social services. You will ensure Child Death Rapid Response (CDRR) procedures are in place across the local authority. You will act in collaboration with Rapid Response Nurses to fulfil this role across the ICS, acting as the ICS lead for the implementation, co-ordination and management of all child death reviews in accordance with Government legislation and Local Safeguarding Childrens Board Policies. The clinical role of the Practitioner will involve all aspects of the multi-agency Joint Agency Response (JAR) minimising any delay through Child Death Review Meetings (CDRM) and supporting
In this role you will - Have an understanding of the CDOP
- Review processes
- Look at Joint agency responses
- Take the lead on sudden and unexplained death
- Have excellent IT, business development skills
- Work in collaboration with Rapid Response Nurses to fulfil this role across the ICB of SET acting as the ICS lead for the implementation, co-ordination and management of all child death reviews in accordance with Government legislation and Local Safeguarding Children's Board Policies
- Take a clinical role of the Practitioner will involve all aspects of the multi-agency Joint Agency Response (JAR) minimising any delay through Child Death Review Meetings (CDRM) and supporting the final Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) review.You will enable the facilitation of working in partnership with agencies (police, coroners, social care) to ensure a co-ordinated approach with the process to support families when their child has died.
- Be a member of the child death overview panels and the Strategic Child Death Overview Panels through out the authority
The Perfect Candidate will
- MSc or working towards or demonstrable relevant experience
- SSSA or Mentorship in Public Services/ ENB 997
- Advanced Multi-Agency Child Protection
- Experience of delivering joint agenda response in a professional capacity
- Experience of working at a senior management level with external agencies
- Evidence of working at a senior management level with external agencies
- Professional portfolio demonstrating evidence of relevant on-going professional development
- Substantial experience of working with children and families at a senior level and extensive experience of bereavement support to families
- Evidence of leadership, management and team development in bereavement services
- Practical experience of audit implementation and review with the ability to maintain and present data relating to this area of service
