Job description
Reporting into the Head of HSEQ you will be responsible for overseeing health & safety for a number of distribution centres across the country. The role requires a presence in Coventry / Solihull and an annual audit / visit to 7 other sites across the country.
Roles & Responsibilities - Provide expert health, safety and environmental advice and knowledge to the business.
- Implement and oversee initiatives to optimise energy efficiency, reduce carbon footprint, and minimise waste generation, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices.
- Lead the Environment workstream as part of our ESG agenda.
- Carrying out management system audits and inspections and managing a program of corrective/preventative actions
- Ensuring that existing certifications and standards are maintained for ISO.
- Carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and record the findings and implement changes.
- Conduct training, toolbox talks and inductions
- Act as a role model and a champion for SHE
