About the role
Welcome to the dynamic world of BYD! We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to be a vital part of our growing team within the BYD family. As a member of the EASD passenger car division you will play a key role in propelling our expansion and solidifying our presence in the UK. The position is based in Hounslow London in the heart of the passenger car team. With the recent launch of our new vehicles last year we anticipate a thrilling and growthfilled 2024. As a Logistics Specialist at BYD you will have the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable transportation and be an integral part of the exciting journey ahead.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining vehicle data within our inventory management system ensuring accurate and regular updates.
- Execute vehicle allocation to new orders balancing availability and customer needs.
- Liaise with colleagues in Retail Sales and Fleet Sales to instruct cars to be prepared efficiently in advance of dispatch.
- Organise book and monitor delivery requests recording and analysing data as necessary to maintain accurate records.
- Be a key communicator between multiple stakeholders.
- Monitor incoming vessels and organise relevant processes for dry land arrival and inspection.
- Generate weekly reports for the Operations Manager.
What are we looking for
- 12 years of experience in a logistics allocator or delivery role.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- An automotive background is a bonus but not a strict requirement.
