Lead GCP Data Engineer - FinTech - London 3x/Week Brio Digital are excited to be supporting a growing FinTech organisation who are looking for a Lead GCP Data Engineer Overview; We are seeking a an experienced Lead GCP Data Engineer to join a growing team and play a key role in building, scaling & implementing best practice into a GCP Data Engineering team. You will be responsible for architecting, developing, and implementing robust data pipelines leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies. You will lead a team of data engineers and ensure our data infrastructure efficiently supports the companies ambitious growth plans. Lead GCP Data Engineer Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable and fault-tolerant data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and other GCP services. Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes using Python and SQL. Define and enforce data governance policies and ensure data security and compliance. Build and maintain automated testing and monitoring infrastructure for data pipelines. Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GCP and data engineering practices. Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve data infrastructure efficiency and scalability. Lead GCP Data Engineer Qualifications: Experience as a Lead Data Engineer. Proven experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, and Python for data pipeline development. Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts. Experienced with Greenfield projects or growing organisations where you have implemented best practice and helped grow the GCP function. Experience working in a GCP environment (as well as other major cloud providers) Proven track record of successfully leading a team of data engineers. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams. Passion for data and its potential to drive business growth.
