Vehicle Technical Executive

Birmingham Office - Hybrid

About the role

An exciting opportunity as a Vehicle Technical Executive at Arval UK based in our Solihull, Birmingham office. In this role, your focus will be to ensure repairs are managed efficiently whilst managing cost and having a clear view on the impacts of our actions in relation to vehicle downtime.

As an experienced vehicle Technical expert, you'll use your knowledge of Cars, Light Commercial Vehicles, Electric and hybrid vehicles to manage maintenance, whilst also at points seeking alternative suppliers and solution. This is a fast paced role that will utilise your industry knowledge to think fast on your feet.

We currently lease out over 180,000 vehicles in the UK, which need maintenance, servicing and repair from time to time and by using your technical expertise, you'll be authorising work requests via the 1Link system and where necessary challenge suppliers and suggesting an alternative, more cost effective solution.

You'll be pivotal to providing technical assistance to both internal and external customers, as well as providing assistance to the wider Fleet Services teams. Using your excellent communication skills you will build relationships with internal customers, drivers and garages, this will be key to your success in this role.

With your fantastic attention to detail, you'll ensure the systems and databases are kept upto date and accurate at all times.

As a Vehicle Technical Executive is a pay zone level A4 , which includes a salary up to £28,000 plus upto £1,100 bonus per annum.

Starting salary is dependent on previous skills and experience.

Working week is 40 hours Monday to Friday. We operate a hybrid working option, this gives you up to 2 days working from home per week; You will be eligible, once training is complete and you are fully competent in the role. About You

Ideally, you will be a qualified motor vehicle technician with NVQ level 2/3 equivalent with knowledge of the 1Link system. Electric and Hybrid experience would be beneficial.

We are looking for an energetic and confident individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, but particularly on the phone. You will need to have proven customer service skills and be able to build relationships quickly and be comfortable challenging the decisions of garages.
