Job description

Artemis Executive Search has been exclusively retained by Foyle Food Group to appoint a Non-Executive Director.

This position is required to further strengthen the board to ensure that the correct balance of skills are in place to aid strong governance and effective decision making during the execution of the corporate plan.

The Foyle Food Group is a family owned business with over 40 years of expertise in beef supply chain and processing.

Foyle Food Group commenced trading in 1977 and is currently owned by the Acheson family who have been involved since inception. The company operates from 5 sites across the UK and Ireland, employing over 1,350 people:

Omagh, Tyrone

Campsie, Derry

Carrigans, Donegal

Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire

Gloucester, Gloucestershire

The Company is seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director with the following key skills:

Strong board leadership and governance skills

Senior experience within an Agri-Food Business either at Director and or Shareholder level

Commercial acumen with experience of liaising with or working for Supermarket Multiples or Foodservice companies would be desirable.

The corporate plan for Foyle Food Group over the next 3 years is to maximise sales opportunities, particularly in export and retail packing markets, improve net profitability through strong financial discipline and reduce gearing levels in order to bolster the company’s already well established position in the red meat sector.

It is envisaged that this role will require 15 days per annum commitment
