Here at settle we are looking for a Head of financial planning & investment analysis to join our senior finance team here at settle. This role will oversee and lead settle’s financial planning requirements while working in partnership and collaborating with the head of financial services and AD financial operations & treasury; as well as with colleagues from across the business; ensuring settle’s financial resilience is effectively underpinned through robust long term financial planning and related analysis.

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

You will manage and maintain a comprehensive and effective financial planning service; demonstrate settle’s continuing financial viability through economic and business cycles; support prudent use of financial capacity to deliver corporate objectives, provide financial assurance over capital investment programmes; frame and evaluate strategic financial choices, share insights to help senior management make key financial decisions

• Co-own the Finance Annual Delivery Plan that maps out the programme of work to deliver our annual objectives. - Lead an engaged and high performing Financial Planning team; set team direction and manage workflow; prioritise tasks to meet key milestones;
• Act as expert source of relevant strategic financial knowledge covering regulatory, sector and peer group publications, credit ratings agencies and investment analysts research; undertake peer group financial benchmarking and provide insightful commentary; interpret market signals, bring strategic viewpoints into the planning and investment appraisal cycles;
• Lead on major capital and regeneration projects, acquisition initiatives, joint venture and partnership structures
  
  

We are looking for someone who has...

• Qualified CCAB Accountant with significant post-qualification experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting policies and SORPs relating to Social Housing
• Strong track record in Financial Planning including long term financial planning, regeneration, and development scheme investment appraisals
• Knowledge of financial reporting, financial benchmarking, interpretation and analysis of financial statements and metrics Understanding of development projects’ financial components and their impact on scheme viability, valuations and return calculations
• Ability to align financial data to trends in operation and strategic performance across the group.
