We are looking for a skilled and versatile Service Technician/MOT Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Service Technician/MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch vehicle maintenance, repairs, and MOT testing services to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs: Perform a wide range of mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance tasks on various vehicle makes and models. This includes diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and conducting thorough inspections to ensure the highest quality of workmanship.
MOT Testing: Conduct MOT tests in adherence to DVSA guidelines, evaluating vehicles’ safety, emissions, and overall roadworthiness. Clearly communicate test results to customers and provide professional advice on necessary repairs or improvements.
Diagnostics: Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles. Offer effective and accurate solutions for optimal vehicle performance.
Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, explaining repair and MOT requirements clearly, addressing their concerns, and offering recommendations for preventive maintenance.

Requirements:
Qualifications: Hold a relevant qualification in vehicle mechanics (NVQ level 3 or equivalent) and be a qualified MOT Tester with a valid MOT Tester License.
Experience: Demonstrate hands-on experience as a Service Technician, with a proven track record in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle makes and models.
MOT Testing Experience: Possess practical experience in conducting MOT tests, adhering to DVSA guidelines, and maintaining a track record of compliance.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment, and possessing a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems and components.
Attention to Detail: Exhibit a keen eye for detail to carry out accurate inspections and ensure the quality of repairs.
Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
