Job description
Randstad C&P are curretly recruiting for a dedicated and passionate Site Manager to oversee listed building conversions and other various special works schemes across the picturesque city of Oxford. The role offers progressional opportunities and a briliant onboarding programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with heritage regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, conservation specialists, and local authorities to navigate the complexities of listed building projects.
- Lead and motivate construction teams, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Develop and implement detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- Safeguard the integrity of historic features while integrating modern amenities and sustainable solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain the highest standards of workmanship.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing construction projects in listed buildings or heritage sites.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of heritage conservation principles and best practices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with construction regulations and permitting processes in Oxford.
