Annual Leave: 26 days, plus bank holidays (rising to 31 days after 5 years’ service); annual leave is to be taken during the School holidays, with dates to be agreed between the other Site Manager and approved by the School Business Manager

Permanent

Due to a vacancy, the Governors seek to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Site Manager to join our friendly team. Experience of working in a School or other large premises is preferred, but training will be provided and the most important requirements are commitment to the role and reliability.

About the Role:

We are a 3-form entry primary school, with quite large grounds. We have two Site Managers working two different continuous shifts, with cross-over in the middle to allow for shared tasks and planning. Our existing Site Manager works from 6.45am-2.45pm.

This vacancy is for the later shift, working on a full time basis, from 10.30am-6.30pm*.

*On occasion, there will be requirement for the Site Manager to be flexible with their hours to allow for later locking up of the premises, e.g. after Governor meetings or School events, but notice would be provided for any such change in hours. There is also a request for flexibility around attending for occasional weekend events, e.g. Christmas or Summer Fairs, where overtime would be payable.

During School holiday periods, there is flexibility to work different shift patterns to suit external works booked in. This would be discussed and agreed in advance.

The post holder is entitled to 26 days annual leave (rising to 31 days after 5 years’ service), plus statutory Bank Holidays. Annual leave is to be taken during the School holidays, with dates to be agreed between the other Site Manager (to ensure appropriate site coverage) and approved by the School Business Manager.

Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team (Head, Deputy Head and School Business Manager), with day-to-day line management provided by the School Business Manager, the role is to undertake, alongside our other Site Manager, all aspects of site and facilities management for School to ensure that our grounds, premises and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
