Are you an empathetic CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner looking for an exciting new role?

We are now recruiting for a Band 6 CAMHS ASD Assessor/Practitioner to join a well-established NHS trust based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, on a locum contract. The post holder will contribute to the multi-disciplinary Autism assessments of children and young people and support in triaging referrals, undertaking standardised assessments, contributing to diagnostic discussions, providing family feedback, and writing diagnostic reports.   The requirement to complete some work ‘face-to-face’ for part of their working week (will not consider fully remote candidates)

The post on offer will be an immediate start for an initial 12-week contract with the likely view of extending. The successful candidate will work part-time hours per week, will not accept remote candidates.

Skills and experience needed:

• Managing a caseload
• Offer clinical treatment work and consultation
• Experience with a wide range of mental health presentations
• Can work well independently and as part of the team
