Deputy Ward Manager - You will be required to be a registered nurse, please only apply if you're a registered Nurse and hold a valid NMC Pin Elmswood unit is a male rehabilitation service for adult males which offers therapeutic and rehabilitative services. The majority of men we treat experience complex mental and physical health issues, for example schizophrenia and bi-polar. The men who use our service have severe and enduring mental illness, they have often had multiple or long admissions within mental health services. Working as part of a multi-skilled, experienced, motivated and creative service, you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient and safe day-to-day delivery of effective clinical care and risk management of the patients that use our service. Elmswood aims to offer a positive rehabilitation service that is recovery orientated. Our focus is on best practice with an integrated collaborative framework that will deliver quality clinical programmes with a person centred approach, which values individual’s cultural, spiritual and religious beliefs. Assisting the Ward Manager in providing day to day management and supervision of the ward • Assisting the Ward manager in providing management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff • Implementing best practice across the ward • Supporting changes and positive developments within the service • Responsible for the clinical direction of the service • Support the delivery of therapeutic care to our young people. • Assisting the ward manager in ensuring that care and treatment is provided meets the standards set by regulators. • To co-ordinate the safe and effective running of a team on a daily basis, including managing the deployment of staff, in the role of senior nurse on duty Division DBS info About us As one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services, Priory promise a challenging and fulfilling career with the support of a world class organisation willing to invest in your development.
