Join our Property Services team as a Multi Trade Operative
The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Multi-Trade Operative in East London.
Salary: £37,000 - £38,000 with a van, fuel card, mobile phone, power tools, uniform, lone working device and all PPE provided.
You will be working on our properties in the East London area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine carpentry and plumbing tasks in our residential properties.
- Carrying out other general multi trade activities including painting and decorating, tiling, and plastering etc.
- Responsible for carrying out all jobs allocated via DRS (Dynamic Resource Scheduling) and to meet with all necessary system requirements from start through to completion.
- Completing works in accordance with the current Building Regulations Approved Documents and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- To work flexibly as part of a team to deliver a great service to all of our customers.
- Responsible for maintaining and replenishing van stock, and keeping your van clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
- Ensuring Health and Safety procedures and processes are always followed.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service standards and a work ethic that avoids complaints.
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong skills & experience working in carpentry and / or plumbing
- Basic skills and experience in at least one other trade
- Experience of reactive repairs within a social housing/residential setting.
- A good understanding of legislation in maintenance and property management
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-motivated, assertive, confident and able to work independently.
- A full driving license
- NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 qualifications in painting and decorating, and/or plastering (Desirable)
- NVQ level 2 or NVQ level 3 in Carpentry (Desirable)
- NVQ level 2 or NVQ level 3 in Plumbing.(Desirable)
