Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 – 17:00
Salary: £34,476 per year

Contract Type: Permanent
Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Test Engineer to join our business in Burton On Trent on a permanent basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on the shop floor to gain experience on the clients products.
- Receive training from the Design / Engineering department on various control systems.
- Work alongside the clients Engineers to gain experience with testing and procedures.
- When competent, work alone in the test department on new, repaired or rental equipment, recording results, correcting minor faults and returning completed reports to the Design office in accordance with the clients procedures.
- Carry out repairs and upgrades to customers equipment in the test department and on site.
- Attend customers’ site in the UK or overseas for commissioning, warranty work, repairs or upgrades.
- Occasionally act as standby Engineer / Operator for rental installations in the UK and overseas.
- Give technical support to customers or the rental department when equipment is reported faulty including periods out of normal working hours.
- Help test and develop new control systems and evaluate performance.
- Attend site meetings for rental and manufacturing departments in the UK and overseas, liaise with customers and produce reports.
- Coordinate department activities with your colleges to ensure quality and meet timetables.
- Liaising among other departments, e.g. Production and Engineering.
- Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.
- General good housekeeping and continual improvement activities.
- This list is not exhaustive and you may be requested to perform other duties generally associated with your qualifications and training.
Experience and Skills:
- Work requires local and international travel
- You may be required to work occasional evenings and weekend
- Candidates will have experience in a similar role and be flexible to work
- You will be working in a high pressure, fast paced environment so ideally you will be able to prioritise workload effectively
- You may be expected to train staff on site
- Candidates will have knowledge of health and safety requirments in a production and manufacturiong environment
