Job description
The role of a Financial Accountant is instrumental in financial operations and strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive financial management, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Description
- Contribute to control the accuracy and consistency in the overall accounting process, including the compliance with international and local accounting standards
- Direct all corporate accounting and tax related to transaction level compliance within government regulation and company procedures
- Set up new procedures needed for regulation in various areas which are impacted by accounting transactions
- Direct the timely and accurate preparation of the organisations financial reports, such as profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, management financial reports, and regulatory reports and filings
- Evaluate the weakness of accounting process and tax transactions with balance sheet reconciliation between operation reports, to ensure the internal controls sufficient for existing business process
- Contribute to preliminary work with UK Operations controller to prepare Target and Re-Forecast models for all entities
- Provide treasury reports and forecasts including business needs in foreign currencies to support the financing needs of the business
- Ensure full accounts reconciliation including but not limited to Balance Sheet, Cashpooling AUCs, Work In Progress etc
- Fully reconcile balance sheet on a monthly basis
- Filing HMRC return eg Fuel Duty and VAT
- Assistance with internal and external audits.
Profile
- Qualified accountant- ACCA, ACA, CIMA
- Desire to challenge and improve processes
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills around business reporting and KPI production
- Engagement skills working as a Business Partner for senior management and operational teams
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems such as Exact/ Microsoft Dynamics AX/360 would be advantageous
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
