The Model Risk Development Analyst will work within the Model Risk Development team. The team has responsibility for the development, monitoring and maintenance of risk models (IRB, IFRS 9, Operational Scorecards and Stress Testing). If you have experience of working in a financial risk modelling function this is your opportunity to be in on the ground floor and help us deliver the future of banking.
How you’ll make a difference
The Model Risk Development Analyst will support the development, monitoring and maintenance of IRB, IFRS 9, scorecard and stress testing models, covering both Retail and Business Banking customers. You will work flexibly across projects and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including regulators), drawing upon a pool of modelling expertise to help deliver against business priorities.
What you’ll bring
- A curious nature to learn and develop efficient solutions to technical problems
- Ability to apply numerical techniques to data and interpret trends
- Clear communication skills. You will be able to make complex concepts straightforward
- Ability to apply a logical thought process to problems not previously experienced
- Experience of SAS, SQL or something similar to manipulate and analyse data
- Be Degree educated within a numerical discipline or have experience in data driven analysis and statistical or mathematical modelling
