ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Will possess a qualification, such as AAT, be part qualified CIMA or ACCA or ACA, or be qualified by experience A minimum of 3+ years of professional accounting experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A positive attitude and strong work ethic Strong analytical and problem solving skills Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel at advanced level COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Practice staff Suppliers Contractors Patients GPs Leicester Integrated Care Board NHS England GP Contracts teams NHS Pensions, Primary Care Support Agency MOST CHALLENGING PART OF THE JOB Collecting accurate information from numerous managers and departments in order to achieve tight deadlines. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in continuing personal development and life-long learning, identifying any relevant training needs. Attend training as required. Promote Inclusion Healthcare in a positive way, adopting a flexible approach to problem solving and service delivery. HEALTH & SAFETY The post holder carries out the duties placed on employees by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, i.e. To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. To co-operate with their employer as far as is necessary to meet the requirements of the legislation. Not to intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety of welfare in the pursuance of any relevant statutory provisions. To attend all mandatory training, including the New Starter Induction Programme. DATA PROTECTION RESPONSIBILITIES Users must make their nominated officer aware of any changes to their Computerised system, Software utilised and personal data that is either processed/disclosed. Ensure that any relevant changes are notified to the nominated officer on Data Protection Form (DP1). Be familiar with and comply with the all Trust Policies on Data Protection, Statement of Confidentiality, Contract of Employment, computer viruses and Data Security Policy Guide. Comply with the Eight Data Protection Principles contained within the Act. SMOKING AT WORK All employees must comply with the Smoking Policy which prohibits smoking during working time. INFECTION CONTROL To support the Trust in achieving a reduction in Health Care associated infections i.e. To carry out duties placed on employees by the Health Act 2006; To be familiar with, and comply with Trust Policies / guidelines on infection control; To attend all mandatory training in relation to infection control. SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES All employees receive safeguarding training and must inform the safeguarding lead should they wish to raise a concern regarding a patient of the practice. All employees must: Attending mandatory training on Safeguarding children and adults; Adhering to all relevant national and local policies, procedures, practice guidance (e.g. LSCB Child Protection Procedures and Practice Guidance) and professional codes; Reporting any concerns to the appropriate authority. GENERAL The post-holder may be required to work at any of the other sites within Inclusion Healthcare CIC subject to consultation. Inclusion Healthcare has to continually modify and improve its service. This will inevitably mean that modification of structures and thus job descriptions may prove necessary. The post-holder will be expected to co-operate with changes, which the Chief Executive may wish to introduce, subject to consultation.
